Little Rascals Day Care centre has expanded and now offers a Grade R Class.
Little Rascals Day Care Centre, Pre Primary school is situated in Somerset West.
This fast growing Day Care and Grade R pre-primary school has been growing since 1995.
The Grade R teacher is fully qualified and presents lessons in a fun, loving and caring environment. Children are taken out on educational outings to broaden their minds. Extra classes for hand eye co-ordinate as well as introduction levels for primary school sport are introduced from the beginning of the year. We have found that the children attending Little Rascals Day Care and Pre-Primary excel in Soccer, Rugby, Tennis and Netball due to the extra classes hosted by Zoka which is a youth coaching foundation. These extra classes are included in the school fees. Another extra that is included in the school fees is Stimuzone. This is the introduction phase to doing maths, colour identification, language and other activities on the computer.
The children absolutely LOVE the extra murals.
The Grade R class is kept small to ensure that children (at this crucial age) are capable of adjusting slowly and gently into the preparation of routine into Primary School levels.
Little Rascals Grade R section is a feeder school for both Beaumont Primary as well as De Hoop Primary School. The location of the Little Rascals Pre Primary School is in between these two popular Primary Schools in Somerset West.
The Principal, Lizanne Volker, has a passion for the well being of children. She is qualified in trauma counselling, first aid, and Grade R teaching.Lizanne Volker has been running Little Rascals Day Care on her own, successfully for the past 20 years, and is permanently on par with new ways of teaching to ensure that the children in her Grade R class are fully prepared for Primary school.
The day care section is from ages 0 - Grade R
Breakfast and a full lunch is provided and is included in the school fees. Lunches consist of chicken, rice and veg, pasta, pizza's (which the children enjoy decorating), fish and chips, pork and veg (and much more)
The Day Care Centre prepares the children for Grade R, and by the time they reach the Grade R section they can identify colours, count up to 20 in English and Afrikaans, the correct way to hold a pencil or crayon and much more. Little Rascals Day Care and Pre Primary believe in teaching children in the form of play. (After all they are children). Once the children reach Grade R, it is a little more structured e.g raising your hand when wanting to ask a question, and remaining in your seat unless instructed to do other wise.
Little Rascals also offers aftercare facilities for Primary School Children. Supervised homework and lunch is included.

That really sounds great!! I was just thinking to enrol my daughter to the best Phoenix kindergarten. I want to choose a kindergarten that uses fun activities to teach and provide all the modern facilities to the kiddos.
